I've honed my art and design skills to suit the needs of freelance and business projects over the years. From travel photography to pin design to 2D animation, I've mastered what I need to in order to fulfill a vision. I have a unique collection of skills. Wondering if I can do something? Just ask.
My husband and I sold everything and are traveling around the world before he completely loses his eyesight. We've mostly been traveling in Africa and Southeast Asia. We love it.
Sr. Writer and Creative Futurist
My science fiction writing led to an opportunity being a futurist with SciFutures where I created forward-looking content for Fortune 500 companies and military organizations. I also managed, edited and curated the content of dozens of professional science fiction writers as well as consulted on the art direction of our creative projects. I still freelance for SciFutures and other future-casting companies.
Frame Store Manager and Art Director
While I honed my sci-fi writing skills on the side, I put my art degree to good use, working at the best frame shop in LA. Years of working with color, design and composition, covering all genres and eras of art and dealing with a variety of tastes and styles has given me the ability to adapt my skills to almost any project.
Science Fiction Author
While I'd often dabbled in writing science fiction, 2007 was the year I got serious. I attended valuable workshops and wrote and submitted hundreds of stories to professional publications. In 2012 I achieved professional status and became a member of SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America).
CSU Long Beach - BA in Art
I put myself through school and with my work hours + class units, took the long way around to graduation; but I made it and graduated Cum Laude. This general art degree has formed the basis for every visual and design skill I've learned since, whether from a class or self-taught.
